DANIEL E. LONERGAN
CEO & SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mr. Lonergan is a founding member of TCM and is a member of the TCM Investment Committee. Mr. Lonergan has over 30 years of experience in the energy and power industries in finance, strategic planning, business development, financial reporting, and administration. Mr. Lonergan joined Tenaska in 1997 as a Vice President in the finance division, where he was responsible for various project finance, corporate finance, and equity sourcing activities.
Prior to joining Tenaska, Mr. Lonergan held a variety of executive positions in the energy sector including Vice President of Finance for the non-regulated businesses of MidAmerican Energy Company where he was responsible for all finance, accounting, planning, and administrative functions.
Mr. Lonergan graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Political Science and an M.B.A.
PAUL G. SMITH
SENIOR MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mr. Smith is a founding member of TCM, Chairman of the TCM Investment Committee. Mr. Smith has over 30 years of experience in the energy and power industries, including more than 20 years with Tenaska. His broad experience includes business development, project development, power company management, natural gas production management, marketing company management, commercial contract negotiations, engineering, mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and equity placements.
JAY M. FRISBIE
Mr. Frisbie joined Tenaska in 1998 and TCM in 2002. He has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry in finance, strategic planning, business development, accounting, and tax. Mr. Frisbie has responsibility for TCM’s project financings, deal structuring, and capital markets activities for potential acquisitions and divestitures.
Prior to joining Tenaska, Mr. Frisbie was manager of accounting for the non-regulated businesses of MidAmerican Energy Company. Before joining MidAmerican, Mr. Frisbie worked as a certified public accountant in the tax division at Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he served a variety of clients, focusing primarily on the energy industry.
Mr. Frisbie graduated from Buena Vista University with a B.A. in Accounting.
CHRISTOPHER A. LEITNER
Mr. Leitner joined TCM in 2003 and has nearly 20 years of experience pursuing acquisitions and managing divestitures of energy-related businesses. Mr. Leitner leads TCM’s generation team, where he is responsible for the origination of generation investments and the management and optimization of TCM’s portfolio assets.
Prior to joining TCM, Mr. Leitner was Director of Asset Investments at Aquila, Inc. where he focused on transactions involving generation asset portfolios and related infrastructure. Preceding his time at Aquila, Mr. Leitner worked at Koch Industries, Inc., where he was responsible for analysis and due diligence related to transactions in the natural gas midstream, crude oil and agricultural industries.
Mr. Leitner graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.S.B.A. and from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with an M.B.A. concentrated in finance and strategy.
RYAN T. SCHROER
MANAGING DIRECTOR & CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Mr. Schroer joined TCM in 2005 and has over 10 years of industry experience. Mr. Schroer is responsible for accounting, financial reporting, investor relations and reporting, strategic planning, and compliance and administration of TCM’s funds and portfolio companies.
Prior to joining TCM, Mr. Schroer worked as a certified public accountant at KPMG LLP, where he served as Senior Audit Manager for a variety of clients (including Tenaska), primarily focusing on the energy, manufacturing, and distribution industries.
Mr. Schroer graduated from Creighton University with a B.S.B.A. in Accounting.
JASON A. BEHRENS
Mr. Behrens joined TCM in 2008 and has over 8 years of experience in the energy industry. Mr. Behrens is responsible for operational analysis and is involved in managing portfolio companies.
Prior to joining TCM, Mr. Behrens held various accounting and finance roles for ConAgra Foods. Mr. Behrens began his career with the public accounting firm Grant Thornton, LLP, where he performed both audit and tax work for a broad range of clients in various industries.
Mr. Behrens graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a B.S.B.A in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. He also is a certified public accountant.
Mr. Bhakar joined TCM in 2008 and has over 8 years of experience performing quantitative analyses, valuations, and due diligence. He is responsible for financial analyses of new investment opportunities in the power and midstream industries, monitoring development of midstream projects, assisting in equity and debt financings, and monetization of existing assets.
Prior to joining TCM, Mr. Bhakar was an Associate at Wedbush Morgan Securities, advising companies on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising.
Mr. Bhakar graduated from the University of Pune in Maharashtra, India with a B.S. and from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California Los Angeles with an M.B.A.
MICHAEL H. CRABB
Mr. Crabb joined TCM in 2011 and has over five years of experience in the energy industry. Mr. Crabb is responsible for asset valuations, fundamental and quantitative analyses, and due diligence related to the acquisition and management of TCM’s power assets. Prior to joining TCM, he interned at Morrissey Engineering as a mechanical engineer where he designed HVAC systems, and at York Label as an industrial engineer conducting efficiency studies.
DAVID C. DICKEY
CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Mr. Dickey joined Tenaska in 2001 and TCM in 2003. He has worked as an attorney for over 37 years, including more than 32 years of experience in the energy industry.
Prior to joining Tenaska, Mr. Dickey was employed for seven years in various legal positions with MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company and its predecessor, CalEnergy Company. Mr. Dickey practiced in the energy and project finance areas at Chadbourne & Parke in Washington, D.C., from 1989 to 1994, at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission from 1979 to 1989, and at the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from 1978 to 1979.
Mr. Dickey graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Political Science and from the University of Michigan with a J.D.
BRADLEY K. HEISEY
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Mr. Heisey joined TCM in 2007 and has over 35 years of industry experience with an emphasis on power generation, natural gas transportation, and storage. Mr. Heisey focuses on the commercial management and optimization of TCM’s generation assets. In this role, Mr. Heisey develops commercial strategies, executes those strategies, seeks new opportunities, and negotiates contractual matters with third party service providers.
Prior to joining TCM, Mr. Heisey served as a Managing Director of Tyr Energy, Inc., where he was responsible for the commercial activities and optimization of a 1,700 megawatt portfolio of power generation assets. Prior to his time at Tyr, Mr. Heisey spent 10 years with Aquila, Inc., where he was responsible for developing and enhancing the capacity management function to encompass origination, trading, price risk management, and contractual optimization expertise for power generation, gas transportation, and gas storage assets. Prior to joining Aquila, he spent 11 years in various engineering and marketing positions with Occidental Petroleum.
Mr. Heisey graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Oklahoma.
SILKE V. JASINSKI
Ms. Jasinski joined TCM in 2004 and has over 15 years of experience in the acquisition and divestiture of assets in the energy industry. Her focus areas include financing, asset valuations, transaction management, and due diligence.
Prior to joining TCM in 2004, Ms. Jasinski was a manager with KPMG Corporate Finance’s utility sector team, where she focused on the privatization of municipal utilities.
Ms. Jasinski graduated with a Diplomkauffrau (FH) from the Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft und Technik in Berlin, Germany where she also received the Fulbright Merrill Lynch Scholarship in 1995. Ms. Jasinski also graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with an M.B.A.
SCOTT P. SEIER
Mr. Seier joined TCM in 2006 and has over 10 years of experience in the energy industry. Mr. Seier’s primary areas of focus include company and asset valuation; preparation and review of quantitative analyses; due diligence; negotiation support for project financings, acquisitions, and divestitures; and oversight of project company debt facilities.
Prior to joining TCM, Mr. Seier was an Associate at Agribusiness & Food Associates, LLC, where he was responsible for the quantitative review and financial structuring of his clients’ sell-side and buy-side transactions. Mr. Seier was also involved with the formation of an ethanol-focused private equity fund which was sponsored by Agribusiness & Food Associates, LLC. Mr. Seier began his career as a management consultant for Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he specialized in financial systems implementation and management.
Mr. Seier graduated from Creighton University with a B.S.B.A. and from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, with an M.B.A.
HOWARD L. HAWKS
Mr. Hawks co-founded Tenaska, Inc., in 1987 and has over 45 years of industry experience. Mr. Hawks is a member of the TCM Investment Committee and Chairman of the Board of Tenaska. Prior to forming Tenaska, Mr. Hawks was an executive for 21 years at InterNorth, where he served as president of three subsidiary groups: Northern Natural Resources (cogeneration and independent power); Northern Liquid Fuels Group (five major companies and divisions with annual revenues of $3.5 billion, serving 330,000 customers in 25 states); and Northern Plains Natural Gas Company (development, construction, and operation of an 823-mile, $1.5 billion pipeline that transports natural gas).
Mr. Hawks was selected as the first independent power representative on the Board of the North American Electric Reliability Council (“NERC”), where he served as Vice Chairman of its board.
Mr. Hawks graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a B.S. in Accounting and from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with an M.B.A.
THOMAS E. HENDRICKS
Mr. Hendricks co-founded Tenaska, Inc., in 1987 and has over 40 years of industry experience. Mr. Hendricks is Executive Vice President of Tenaska and Vice Chairman of the TCM Investment Committee. Mr. Hendricks has experience in developing major electric generation and energy-related projects for electric and natural gas companies, with a special focus on technical assessment, conceptual plant design, project financial analysis, and regulatory permitting approvals. Prior to forming Tenaska, Mr. Hendricks was an executive with InterNorth and with the Nebraska Public Power District.
Mr. Hendricks was selected as the first independent power representative to serve on the board of trustees of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council.
Mr. Hendricks graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
